Welcome! This foundation is always looking for enthusiastic people to join us and our partners in the exploration of Earth Sciences! Whether you are already following a scientific career, wondering if Earth sciences is for you, or just find it super cool we would love to hear from you. We are looking for partners, volunteers, and people to join, help, and explore with us. Below you can read about our board members, key volunteers, and partners.

Tom has over 10 years of field experience working in paleontology. His passion for paleontology has opened his eyes to some of the problems in the earth sciences. He is working tirelessly to open doors for kids, students, veterans , and the public as a whole to get involved in the earth sciences. He believes that anyone should have the opportunity to learn and participate in sciences and wants to make sure it is available. His passion also carries over into helping veterans who are suffering health issues or transitioning to civilian life find careers in the geosciences. With a focus on helping underrepresented people becoming more represented his is hoping to help inspire the next generation of geoscientists.

My name is Anne Headley and have owned and managed my own insurance agency for 21 years. This is how I came to know our Director/Founder, Tom Hebert. I live in Huntsville, Texas with my husband Ron. My vision for my agency has been to always help people make sound financial decisions with regards to their future, whether they become my clients or not. I have served on the board of several organizations and bring that knowledge and my business experience to the table in helping this foundation meet its financial goals and expand its initiatives. With two sons having served in the military, I am keenly interested in helping this organization expand its outreach to veterans through its VETS initiative. As a board member, my desire is to make sure all programs and initiatives are successful for all the participants and the volunteers receive the satisfaction of a job well done.

I'm Sabrina Wagner, and I recently graduated from University Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Geology Environmental Science. I'm currently working as a intern for the Earth Sciences Foundation where I dig and prep fossils in Montana. I became interested in the foundation when I met Thomas Hebert at UW-Eau Claire. There we worked together to create a geospatial map that we used to map fossils. While doing this research I fell in love with paleontology and continued working with Tom. As a member on this board I hope to spark interest in kids and teach them about the wonders of paleontology.

I met Tom at our local Trade Show and invited him to my classroom. He in return invited my husband and me on a dig. What an experience! We were instantly hooked.
The opportunities this foundation can provide students is wonderful. Anytime you can get kids excited about science and learning is a huge win. I’m excited to be a part of this foundation.

I am a photographic artist and archaeologist from Austin, Texas, with over forty years of varied photographic experience and endless hours of volunteer work in local schools, churches, and internships. Mid-life energies led me back to school with a passion for the ever-diverse field of archaeology. I graduated from the University of Texas in 2011, with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology and over 200 credit hours. Better late than never, and I beat the Mayan calendar's end-of-the-world 2012 deadline!
When I'm not traveling, reading, or working on a project, you can find me digging in my garden. I love a good adventure, especially where I can learn something new and interesting or see something beautiful and intriguing. Natural curiosity keeps me in learning mode even though I'm closer to the retirement end of my endeavors.
I believe learning and teaching go hand in hand. Those who have learned something should feel happy to share it forward with a helpful and thankful mind set. We are all in this life journey together. If we can help and encourage one another along the way then the ride will be more enjoyable. I have encouraged my own kids to stay curious, compassionate, and always take their sense of humor with them.
I appreciate the philosophies and efforts of ESF to support education, science, technology, museums, veterans, and native cultures. Bringing these topics together in one place is BRILLIANT and I'm excited to be part of the group.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with a major in environmental science and a double minor of chemistry and geology. I've always been curious about the mechanisms of the natural world and how everything comes together to tell a cohesive story. In recent times, various chemical compounds enter into the environment interacting with other compounds that can affect the lives of living organisms the world over. That's why I want to better understand environmental chemistry, to help over come these hurdles and help people live better lives. While I don't have a-lot of experience with paleontology work, My chemistry knowledge can be used to help understand the past. Which I'll be using to help the Earth Sciences Foundation this summer.
